Earlier last month, we got the first glimpse of the upcoming Han Solo spin-off as Disney and LucasFilm decided to release the first official photo of the movie featuring main characters. The photo also featured Woody Harrelson who earlier confirmed that he will be playing the character of Garris Shrike. However, recently the actor said that he will be playing the same character but with a different name.
During his promotional event of the new movie Wilson with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actor didn’t say much but he said that he will be playing a character named Beckett as he said,
“I play a guy named Beckett, who’s kind of a criminal and a mentor to Han. That’s all I can say.”
Earlier last month, the actor said that he will be playing Garris Shrike in the movie but if the latest comment anything to go by, then there is a bit of confusion regarding his role in the upcoming movie. However, as off now, the actor is listed as Garris Shrike in the IMDB’s official page for the movie. We will have to wait and see to learn more details about the movie in the coming days.
The actor didn’t say much about the movie but confirmed that the shooting of the movie will continue until the end of July. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing Han Solo: A Star Wars Story from a script by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan, with LucasFilm setting this spin-off for release on May 25, 2018.
