This year’s Mobile World Congress has given a large number of surprises to consumers. Interestingly, GSM Association has named Sony’s Xperia’s XZ Premium as the “best new smartphone or connected mobile device at MWC 2017.” When you take a look at the specifications and features the phone comes up with, it’s not so much surprising except Sony has decided to bring a successor sooner than anticipated.
Although the Xperia XZ was released only five months earlier, the premium will bring consumers an updated version that features 5.5 inch screen along with Snapdragon 835 processor. If you are wondering about the display quality, then rest assured, the smartphone packs a 4K screen that should give one of the best displays around.
Apart from that, the XZ Premium comes with a 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that can be extended up to 256GB with microSD card. Moreover, the phone features a 19-megapixel primary and 13-megapixel secondary camera.
With such features, it’s not so surprising that Sony managed to beat the likes of Huawei P10 Plus and G5 smartphones. While the specifications sound pretty good for XZ Premium, we have to wait and see how the device performs in the market as Xperia Smartphones are known for overpromising and under delivering at times. If you want to purchase the smartphone, you can pre-order the device as several retailers have started taking pre-order for the upcoming device.
