Samsung is Expecting Estimated 20 Million Galaxy S8 Shipments in Its Initial Run

After several months of speculation and wait, Samsun finally unveiled its flagship S8 smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Given that it’s been a long time since Samsung brought consumers flagship smartphones after its latest Note 7, the company expects that there will be decent amount of requirement in the market as the smartphone maker has prepared quite a sizeable initial batch of devices to make sure that supplies will be plentiful.

During a press briefing, Samsung’s DJ Koh stated, “We set the initial supply of Galaxy S8 double the Galaxy S7. Since we are preparing the supply without difficulty, there will be no issue of supply delay.”

Despite number of manufacturing products at the company all-time high, the officials have confirmed that they are taking new precautions in order to prevent any issues from occurring. According to several reports, the company is expected to ship around 20 million devices for the two flagship models.

The smartphones are expected to be available in US starting from mid-April with Galaxy S8 being priced at $749.99, and the S8+ at $849.99. However, you can start pre-ordering in case you want to get one using one of the various US carriers.
