Samsung Expected to Launch Galaxy S8 With 6GB RAM in One Country

After Samsung decided not to officially announce their upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone during this year’s Mobile World Congress, there have been numerous number of leaks and rumors till date regarding the company’s most anticipated product announcement as it’s been quite a while since we got first flagship device from the company. However, with the standalone announcement just a few weeks away, new rumor has suggested that the company will sell two variant of the device but one of the variant will be specific to only one country.

Recent reports have suggested that both of the devices will be offered with a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with a large variants of colors. Despite that, according to research director of HIS in China, Samsung will offer additional configuration option unique to China.

In a recent report, it was revealed that China will likely be the only country where Samsung will sell Galaxy S8 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage to Chinese buyers. As there are several local smartphone makers providing similar configurations, Samsung might have decided to follow this route to compete with other smartphone makers as the country is one of the biggest markets for the company. Ahead of the S8’s release, one of the Chinese Manufacturer is already preparing to launch a new handset that has a whopping 8GB RAM. As a result, this decision from China is not highly surprising.
