Over last couple of years, comic based television shows have become significantly popular as almost all the major broadcasting networks have at least one of them. While Fox’s Lucifer is based on one of the least known comic book characters, the network is planning on bringing a whole new different game as they are currently working on bringing X-Men to small screen. The show is set to get a massive following and today, reports have confirmed that Stephen Moyer will play the lead role in the small screen.
While we are yet to know the official name of the show, several reports have confirmed that Stephen Moyer will play Reed who discovers that that his children possess powers thus making them government’s targets. In order to protect them, they will need to leave everything behind to start a new life. During the course of the show, they will also discover an underground network of mutants running away from government for similar reasons.
However, the series will not be similar to the X-Men movies that have become so successful over the years. Despite that, creator have confirmed that the show will be set in the same universe. If that’s the case, then the show is already set to become one of the biggest shows in small screen.
Stephen Moyer is known for playing Bill Compton in True Blood and he is set to join Shots Fired in March.
