So far, movies set in the DC Extended Universe have received harsh criticisms that have made everything uncertain for a while. However, when you think about The Batman, you are likely to be more confused than ever as it’s the most confusing and ever changing project as of now. Recent reports had indicated that the whole script was set to get a rewrite. However, if you are eagerly waiting to know if such rumors are true or not, then rest assured, those news aren’t true and the script is already done.
Fans of the iconic comic book characters were pretty worried as recent reports indicated that the batman was in pretty rough shape. In order to know about the authenticity of the rumors, Batman-News.com reached out to Justin Kroll on Twitter and asked, “any truth to the rumors that The Batman script is being redone from scratch?”
The reply was pretty solid as he said, “No, several sources already saying new script came in this month and everyone including Emmerich and Ben very happy with it.’
This means that if there was any issue with the script earlier that didn’t really satisfy Ben Affleck and Warner Bros., it’s fixed as off now and this means that we are set to get standalone Batman movie. However, recent reports confirmed that Ben Affleck will not be directing the movie and the studio is searching for director. With a finished script, it might be easier to get a director who can get the universe back on track after the movies set in the DCEU have started pretty roughly.
We will see Affleck’s Batman in the upcoming Justice League movie although there’s been no words from Warner Bros. regarding the release date of the standalone Batman movie. If everything goes well, then we might see the movie in the later part of 2018. If not, then the movie is likely to be delayed until 2019. However, with the finished script, we are set to get a standalone movie that’s for sure.
