Over last couple of decades, games have seen significant boost in graphics and Fallout 4 is no different from it. Although the game already had decent if not jaw dropping graphics, Bethesda has decided to improve the graphics as the company is planning on rolling out an update that will add a High-Resolution Texture Pack for increased level of detail. However, in order to see its fullest potential, you might need a high end computer. According to the developers’ recommendation, you will need at least 4th generation Core i7 processor along with 8 GB RAM. While both of these are standard setup for a modern gaming PC, you will need monster of a graphics card with GTX 1080. If that wasn’t enough, in order to get whole experience, you will need an additional 58GB of storage.
Although the updated pack is targeted towards high end PCs, if you are planning on playing the game on console, rest assured, the console version is also getting decent updates that will make sure the game runs at 1440p resolution. If you have the PS4 Pro, you will notice better lighting effects and improved level of detail similar to the PC version. While it’s not the 4K upgrade we were hoping for, it can give you better gaming experience in case you want to replay the game. But, we will have to wait for a little while to get the update. Here’s a list of recommended specifications in case you are wondering.

Graphics Card: GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 490 with 8 GB Memory
